Shakespeare's Stratford

Anything and everything to do with Shakespeare and Stratford-upon-Avon

The festive season is a very special time in Stratford when the town takes on the delightful feeling of old world charm even more so than the rest of the year. Janey and I moved here just before Christmas last year and were treated to the towns charms. The smell of log fires actually drifts between the streets. I was told that its due to log fires that many of the building interiors survived. Something in the smoke preserved the timbers. (finished off the tennants though). In the full tradition of this highly creative town there is plenty going on. This coming week from 16th November for the week there are three art shows going on. There is John Corvin's fantastic bards town revisted exhibition. Johns work is great and highly collectable. The local art society are having a charity art sale in the Civic hall and there is my exhibition in the shakespeare hotel, A great cross section of investable work. I am out in my Elizabethan togs with hands full of leaflets for all three shows. I hope they all do very well.

Singing is good for you too!
